Adrenalin and tons of fun at the lake

BEGINNERS, PROS AND CHATTERBOXES. EVERYONE IS WELCOME – AT THE LAKE – WHERE IT IS PRETTY WICKED MOST OF THE TIME

Lake Neusiedl is like Eldorado to wind loving people – that´s not a secret. Those who need to know that have known it for a long time. It offers an excellent mix of light and stiff breezes and thus the perfect conditions for surfing events. Wind per order so to say and always on special offer.

Please note that from May 10th until September 20th of each year, kite surfing at Lake Neusiedl in a distance of less than 200 m from the banks is prohibited. You can download the extract of the state ordinance as well as an exact map and the current information sheet from March 17th, 2014.

Dancing with the

High fun & action factor

this is what the new trend sport at Lake Neusiedl offers. The northern beach is the territory for kite surfing (Nord-Nordstrand).

Due to its shallow depth and wind resistance, Lake Neusiedl is one of the best territories for learning kite surfing worldwide.

Easy for beginners – spectacular for pros

Since you are able to stand throughout the whole lake, it is much easier to learn kite surfing here than at other spots where there are only a few or even no standing areas. The great advantage for beginners is that they can get used to the tensile forces of the kite while letting them keep their feet on the ground.

Pros on the other hand, with kites of 5 to 18 m², may reach high speeds even at low wind force. Jumps of more than 10 meters in height and 100 meters in width are possible! This leads to high adrenalin and tons of fun – for the kite surfers as well as the viewers.
