Podersdorf in summer is like … summer in Podersdorf. Something that goes together that well, doesn´t need description anymore. But in case there are people who have never heard of it, here´s what you can expect: pure beach feeling, water sport deluxe and a fresh breeze in Pannonian Summer. Surfing, kiting, sailing. You´d rather splash around and have a cocktail while watching the surfers? By all means! We offer activities for everyone: tennis, cycling tours, horseback riding, eating, celebrating, holidays.
For those who want to start the season more calmly, we recommend the Yoga Festival in June. Followed by the Winzerfest in July, where you can strengthen from all the relaxation, sun salutations and downward facing dogs. The Winzerfest is very important to us, because Podersdorf wouldn´t exist without its wine. Wine is omnipresent all year long …
School is over, let´s celebrate!
The Born to Beach, School’s Out Festival in Podersdorf am See, is the perfect way to celebrate the beginning of the summer. At the end of June, the motto during the day is action and sports and during the night: party!
In the summer, there are a lot of cultural events and festivals.
The Seefestspiele in Mörbisch, the Schlosskonzerte in Halbturn (concerts in the castle of Halbturn), the concert series classic. Esterhazy, the operas at the quarry: classical music lovers will get their money´s worth around Lake Neusiedl. At the lake, you may watch the sun go down while drinking a glass of wine on a boat. During the SonnWeinMusik festival, the residents of Podersdorf celebrate their three sacred things: sun, wine and music.
Same goes for the Winzerfest in July, where you can taste the excellent wines of Podersdorf´s wine makers in the heart of the breathtaking scenery of Lake Neusiedl. Meanwhile you have the chance to watch the most beautiful sunset of Central Europe. We´d feign modesty at this point, but who would believe us? A rather traditional event is the Wirthaussingen at Podersdorf´s wine makers´ in July, where musicians sing traditional songs.
