Wine enjoyment
in Podersdorf on Lake Neusiedl

Excellent wines from Burgenland

THE WINE AND THE LAKE. THE STORY OF A VERY SPECIAL PODERSDORF RELATIONSHIP.

Proper enjoyment while drinking wine has to be learned, they say. So practice diligently! At home, but also on vacation!

What does it take for a wine to become something special? Enough moisture in spring, hot summers and mild days in late autumn. And in addition a Lüfterl, which is provided from the lake up with proper moisture. Welcome to the perfect wine climate - in the Neusiedlersee region of Burgenland.

On the vineyards around Podersdorf am See grow grapes from which wonderfully fruity white wines and really rich red wines are made. We could tell you a lot about the liquid treasures. But it's better to taste for yourself. Sip for sip. This is especially nice during the spring awakening in April and Martiniloben in November. And again and again the realization remains: It's a pity that you can't caress wine.

FOR A CONSCIENTIOUS STUDY OF PODERSDORF'S WINE DIVERSITY, YOU CAN TAKE A LEISURELY STROLL FROM VINTNER TO VINTNER.

WHO INVENTED IT? NO, NOT THE SWISS THIS TIME. THE ANCIENT ROMANS BROUGHT VITICULTURE TO PODERSDORF.

Since then, a lot of wine has flowed into the glass. Today, almost every Podersdorf family cultivates its own vineyard. The others surf. Or do both. Those who have devoted themselves entirely to the juice of the vine founded their own winegrowers' association in 1921. And always welcome their guests to tastings of their treasures - mourning every sip that is not swallowed.

All year round, you can not only enjoy wine in Podersdorf am See, but you can also learn more about it. In summer, for example, at the wine tastings on the high seas. In April, the Pannonian spring arrives, in the summer months there is sun and wine music and the Long Night of Podersdorf Wines. And in late fall at the latest, at the traditional Martiniloben with wine baptism, it should be clear to everyone that there are plenty of good reasons for good wine in Podersdorf. And as we all know, even the esteemed Edmund Sackbauer has claimed that his wine is not stupid. Or was it the beer?
