I work with robust oak wood in which tasty Burgenland wine has reached its full maturity. It takes many steps to turn a wine barrel stave into a truly unique piece. Each piece tells its own story. The story of the tree from which the wood was felled and the story of the barrel that served as the cradle of a truly noble drop. All pieces are worked by hand with a great deal of passion until they reveal their individual character . The Fischamend Krampus Association will transport you to a fascinating world of fire, light, and captivating choreography. But the magic doesn't end with the show:Afterward, you can meet the Krampuses up close and take some unforgettable photos. For the youngest children, the scary mask transforms into a friendly face, as the performers take off their costumes and reveal their faces —this helps ease their fears in a playful way. More winter by the lake.You don’t have to wait for the lake to freeze over to go ice skating in Podersdorf: From November 27, 2026, through February 28, 2027, you’ll have a 750 m² real-ice rink all to yourselves at PODO on Ice. This year, we’re adding 150 m². For even more laps, first steps, and little ice adventures.Right next to the SUNBAY restaurant, just a short walk from Lake Neusiedl, you can hit the ice. The artificially cooled ice rink at the PODOplay family adventure park makes it possible: ice skating with ice guaranteed, even when temperatures are above freezing. You can rent the right skates on-site.Disco nights bring music to the ice, and figure skaters show off their skills during performances. And if the kids still haven’t had enough after the last lap, the fun continues at the PODOplay playground.Things are going to get fiery right from the start: On November 27, starting at 5 p.m., the Fischamend Krampus Association will take over the area between SUNBAY and PODI’s Platzerl with its Perchten and Krampus show.
